Peter Bruntnell- After the recent acoustic and psychedelic tinged album, "Peter & The Murder Of Crows" I thought to do something loud and electric, more in the style of Guided By Voices and The Replacements.

Roto Chico

Like many a good song with a story, Roto Chico [Broken Man], is a
parable about hurt and blame. Rico is a man on the brink, full of hatred for a world that he blames for his failures, but in an impassioned vocal performance Don Wilson calls it just how he sees it. Rico can go on blaming everyone and everything else, or he can grasp that he might just have screwed it all up for himself.

Elephant Juice

Mouth the words 'elephant juice' soundlessly and it appears as if 'I love you' is proclaimed. A game, a playground prank, used by Karl Culley in his song 'Elephant Juice' as a metaphor for unrequited love and lust.
